As temperatures drop in autumn and winter, construction machinery tanks are prone to fuel condensation and reduced hydraulic oil fluidity. Daily maintenance should include checking the fuel cap seal to prevent rain and dust from contaminating the oil.
For long-term parked equipment, it is recommended to fill the fuel tank before parking to reduce internal condensation. Hydraulic tanks should maintain the normal oil level to avoid difficulty in oil suction at low temperatures. In cold regions, use fuel and hydraulic oil of the appropriate grades and add preheating devices if necessary.
Regularly inspect tank brackets, mounting bolts and connecting pipelines. Cracks or leaks should be dealt with promptly to avoid downtime caused by minor issues.
